People suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia can easily land in risky situations. They could forget where they live, where they are headed or where they have come from when they go out for a walk or, in severe circumstances, even what their personal details are. Do you have a friend or family member suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia? Do you tend to worry about that person’s safety? The MyLifeline panic button, with its geo-fencing technology, can be a great value added to ensure peace-of-mind.
Do you tend to worry about that person’s safety?
once the person suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia leaves the geo-fence, a panic signal is triggered.
The MyLifeline panic button is a wearable device and therefore always with your loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
There are many panic buttons in the market but most of them are dependent on a cellphone or other base device. If something happens to that dependent device, the panic button will be rendered useless. The MyLifeline panic button has its own sim card and enables someone to have a two-way conversation - no matter where they are.
It is equipped with geo-fencing technology which, simply, is a virtual geographic boundary defined by GPS technology. This technology enables the MyLifeline software to trigger a response when a device leaves a particular area or “geo-fence”.
Setting up the geo-fences are easily done online and once the person suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia leaves the geo-fence, a panic signal is triggered.
Immediately receive a signal once the person leaves the geo-fence
The MyLifeline control room operates 24/7 and will immediately receive a signal once the person leaves the geo-fence. In addition, up to five emergency contacts will receive an SMS message with the estimated GPS location when the panic signal is received on the MyLifeline servers. The control room operator will also contact the emergency contacts if emergency assistance is required.
